Cynthia Izoldi

Cynthia Izoldi is a native of Sao Paulo, Brazil and resides in Norwalk with her family. She began her ballet training in Brazil and danced professionally before moving to the USA where she received a scholarship at the Joffrey Ballet School in NYC. Professionally she performed in various companies before joining the New York City Opera Ballet. Cynthia is certified ballet teacher with the Municipal Ballet School of Sao Paulo, by the National Ballet of Cuba and has attended NDI’s Teacher Training Program in NYC with founder/ dancer Jacques D’Amboise and the American Academy of Ballet.Cynthia holds a BS in Biology from PUCC University, Campinas – Sao Paulo (Brazil)

 

Violeta Katz

Violeta Katz is a native of New Jersey and currently lives in Stamford with her family. Violeta started her ballet studies with Frank Bournan and received a scholarship with Center Ballet of Buffalo under the direction of Kathleen Crofton. She is a Joffrey Ballet and American Ballet Theater Schools alumna.Violeta performed professionally with Jacob Pillow Dance and a few local companies.She has been teaching ballet for over 15 years and has guided many of her students to move into professional careers.Violeta is a certified ABT trained teacher, holds the teacher certification from American Academy of Ballet as well as for Creative Movement/Ballet program created by Beverly Spell. 

 

Shantasia Best

Shantasia is a native and citizen of Norwalk. A talentedlocal artist and performer leading the Norwalk YMCA Hip-Hop program for the past 2 years. Shantasia has been a Hip-Hop teacher and choreographer as well the teacher and captain for the competing Drill Team at the Carver Center in Norwalk. She is a Norwalk resident and is attendingcollege in Fairfield County.

Jeannine Lambert-Prescott

Jeannine is a native and resident of Norwalk. She brings to us an enormous talent along with her dedication into each class. She has been the Visual Arts program teacher for the past 3 yrs. Jeannine attends NCC with a major in Fine Arts. Jeannine holds an award by the New Haven Art Commission on December 2010.

 

*Deirdre Murtha

Is a professional singer with The Johnson Girls, The New York Packet and Strange Potatoes. She is a proficient music teacher with an extensive background in early to elementary childhood. Deirdre resides in Norwalk with her husband and children. She holds a M.S. degree from Hunter College, has taught and tutored at public schools in New York City and Massachusetts. She joins our amazing teaching staff in the Spring 2012.
