The YMCA provides programs and services to almost 2,000 local youth and teens
Over 1,500 Norwalk children participate in YMCA swim lessons and water safety classes every year, including an additional 300 children from three visiting camps in the Norwalk area;
Over the summer several hundred youth and teens received life-changing experiences at Camp Sunrise including "learning labs" to keep their minds sharp and avoid "summer learning loss";
Hundreds of children developed skills and learned the value of sportsmanship through YMCA youth sports, fitness camps, gymnastics and the highest quality Arts & Humanity dance classes.

Thousands of Norwalk families and their children and friends under the age of 18 are involved in programs and activities at the YMCA annually;
50 weeks of safe and licensed before and after school child care as well as on-site, licensed "Little Wonders" Pre-School is provided to local children and the Y provides ample space and programming for vacation days;
The YMCA provides financial assistance and program subsidies to help ensure that lower-income youth, teens and families can participate in YMCA programs and services.

Through initiatives such as the Children at-risk Exercise program, FitKids and school age child care enrichment activities the YMCA is providing leadership and resources to address critical health issues facing our local community;
Since 1887 on Wall Street, moving to our current West Avenue location in 1928, the YMCA of Norwalk has been a leader in providing innovative responses that address community issues for 123 years!;
The YMCA involved over 12,000 local people in programs that enhanced their spirit, challenged their minds, and strengthened their bodies in the past year;
Through the leadership of several hundred (and growing) local volunteers the YMCA delivers programs to all segments of the community in the most cost-effective manner possible
