Youth Fitness Program

YMCA Fitness
Youth Strength Training
Introduces youth of all abilities to sound strength and conditioning principles. Classes will integrate cardiovascular resistance and flexibility training. All classes will be highly motivational with maximum supervision by a trainer.

Beginner Level Ages 9-13
Tuesday & Thursday 4:45pm-5:45pm or
Wednesday & Friday 4:45pm-5:45pm

Advanced Level Ages 9-13
Tuesday & Thursday 6:00pm-7:00pm or

Youth Yoga
Beginner Level Yoga for youth ages 9-13.

Youth Personal Training: Ages 10-13
Introducing Youth Personal Training, a great way to get your kids started on the right path to health and wellness. This program is for all levels including young athletes, beginner exercisers, or children with obesity issues. Each session formatted by a certified Personal Trainer. Youth & Teen Pilates
The YMCA is now offering Private 1 on 1 Pilates sessions for youth and teens ages 12-17. Pilates is a body conditioning routine that seeks to build flexibility, strength, endurance, and coordination without adding muscle bulk. Pilates also increases circulation and helps to sculpt and strengthen the body's core. Get set up with one of the YMCA's wonderful trainers, call Keith Peters, Interim Director of the Fitness Center at 866-4425 ext. 305 or email keith@norwalkymca.org for more information.

1 session: $45 members/$55 non members
10 sessions: $400 members/$500 non members



Teen Spinning: New Program
This great Fitness Program will kick of for Spring Session 2008. An aerobic class like none other, Spinning will not only get teens in wonderful shape, but will also give them a chance to exercise in a fun and energetic atmosphere with one of the YMCA's outstanding Certified Spin Instructors. Capoeira: New Program
Introducing Capoeira, an outstanding new youth fitness and martial arts program that teaches 1 on 1 combat for self-defense combined with fluid, dance-like movements, traditional music, and developmental acrobatics. Students will learn the connections between the movements and music while building basic gymnastic skills such as balancing, flipping, and self control.

Ages 7-9 Beginner: Monday 5:00pm-6:30pm
Ages 10-13 Beginner: Wednesday 5:00pm-6:30pm
Ages 14-16 Beginner: Friday 5:00pm-6:30pm
